The Shop's Story

Send it Home began in 2003 in a 230 sq ft building.  They did packing and shipping via UPS and FedEx and had two computers with a satellite connection for people to check their email.  In those days there were no smart phones, no DSL, no Fiber.  In 2007 they moved across the street to their current location. In 2008 we began carrying yarn, realizing a lifelong dream for former owner/knitter, Pati Taylor.

In 2009, with the help of Jane Quin from Bozeman, MT's Quilting in the Country, they began carrying fabric.  The fabric selection has grown into an amazing collection of wildlife and outdoor fabric.  Visit our online store for a taste!  In October of 2019, Send it Home changed ownership to Carrie Pope and became what it is today; West Yellowstone Fabric & Yarn.  Carrie, a quilter of over 30 years moved the shop into more of the fabric direction but has kept some of the Montana yarn along with some fun needlework kits to keep you busy as you travel.
Stay tuned for some exciting changes coming to West Yellowstone Fabric & Yarn in 2024!
